clear morning shine off an
office building window.

Come upon an
in-a-long-while park and explain
to me those nights

when you had swum deep in my bed
of nights soaked in sweat mattresses.
I peel away the skin
below your fat wrist and that claw
twitched in your flesh.
turned it to you
and showed it you,
the glow the metal cast in your face.

A clear morning shine,
pain for our eyes.
