We add new ones as time permits.

See below to see how to submit poems. Please take a look to get an idea of the sort of things we like - and don't like.

You might also like to visit the Poetry Place at www.teachit.co.uk/poetryplace. It's mainly for teachers but has some reflections on the writing (and reading) of poetry which may be of interest. The blog (Writer's Studio), Street Corner and Pub are likely to be the best places to drop by.

Poetry Submissions

What do we like?

Short, probably unrhymed, poems
Experimental poems
Poems with guts, humour, vivid imagery
Poems which shift boundaries, punch and twist, play with words

What don't we like?

Self-indulgent therapeutic poems (unless very good and very original)
Sweetly inspirational Patience Strong verses
Writing, full of strong feelings, but which hasn't really been crafted into poetry
