Smoke blues noose
Cinching chortling
bird neck in
glistening steel sweat

Smoke slipknots hoodlum veins
Seeking justice
For each new-
-Steel note

Smoke lives
Living for
Smokey nights

Smoke pouring red light from
Sad bartenders with
Steel pasts

Steel blues blood
drains faster thinned
In sharp alcohol cuts

Steel strumming
Steel sinew

Smoke, ash, then dust from steel

Listen to the blues
Like another man
Cuts his wrists
