Radio Alarm Clock Duncan Gallimore Birmingham |
|
Radio Alarm Clock Like burnt sugar it crackles static Stirring me from sleep, As if radio and I are the same: Neither ready for breakfast. Each night the station's tested for set, Speaker strained clearly through speaker Without any jarring of ears But never preserved in the morning. So how can I make it sound sweet? The time required won't change - It seems we're always set to test Each other's boiling point. [Return to Psychopoetica home page] ©The contents of this page are copyright protected.
