A Space for Sonnets...I don't know when sonnets first caught my attention as something I might write, rather something to read. Once started though, writing them has become a bit addictive. From something done for special occasions, it developed in 2007 into a personal challenge and then, after a breather, something I found I could do in order to raise money for a couple of charities - the Sponsored Sonnets. There is something satisfying about the form; the length makes you focus - but not as desperately as a haiku - and the constraints of rhythm and rhyme are a nice challenge.
