February Snow |
What is there new to say about the snow That comes and goes as fleeting as the winter Sun, which - grudging with its glance - looks into Our living rooms but rarely lingers; as though To say 'Hello, but...sorry, can't stop just now'? Just so - snow briefly lays a clean duvet Upon our house, pauses but cannot stay; Whimsically, puts hats on bushes, allows Unweeded paths and littered avenues A chance of beauty. Dogs and cats leave tracks Or have to alter course, taken aback. When all is changed, we too must change our views; No need to struggle for the new, the bold: Snow puts us back in touch with all that's old. ©The contents of this page are copyright protected.
