Thank you to all who’ve promised me their cash Or sent it in advance (hip hip hooray!) Your messages and appreciation count When struggling with those syllables to fashion Meaning into a sonnet shape. You pays Your money and - as the tally mounts – You gets your poem. Phrase by phrase Your monthly rhyme and rhythm ration Grows. Along with your support for charity Your goodwill and trust enabled me To keep on writing, keep the form alive And fresh.
